Arya was my stud-puppy from Sitka's first breeding with Stella, and the very first Alpine Vizsla.  A fighter from the moment she was born, this little Peanut fit in the palm of my hand. After she was born, I panicked that she was stillborn... but within seconds she kicked to life and shrieked in protest that she had joined the world. That set the precedent. Literally landing on my doorstep, this little girl made a mark on my heart and our household in seconds. She instantly reminded me of her Dad in her facial features and personality, and her mother in her goofiness, endless energy and build. She is bossy, opinionated, headstrong, and as sweet as can be. Hard pressed to keep her, I was not able to in the busy third year of my medical school. Lucky for her, the perfect home presented itself with our good friend Karen Concilio. Arya quickly shone in her new home and progressed into the stellar bird dog she is today. She is bold and independent in the field, a beautiful mover who was much too coordinated from a very young age, bird crazy, and a complete snuggle bug like her dad. By 7 months this little Peanut was finding wild birds and retrieving them to hand. At 9 months old, she earned her Puppy and Derby points towards her Field Championship in horseback all breed field trials. She then went on to win the Vizsla Club of America's National Derby Classic in Ohio, shortly followed by the NVA National Quail Derby Classic. Her first trials out as a broke dog, Arya won her first three placements along with her first Gun Dog WIN, a 4 point major in an all breed horseback stake! She has subsequently racked up several more wins, including 3 or her 4 retrieving points. She is just one retrieving point shy of her Field Championship. Her future is bright, and I am looking forward to watching this little Peanut continue to excel as she grows up!
