DelDel! What to say about this goofy, eccentric, most unexpected addition to the Alpine Crew? She is a hoot and a half, as her name implies. Del came to us by unconventional means, as her previous owner left the vizsla world. After a successful juvenile career field trialing, Del needed a home that would give her a job, and love her unconditionally. I was more than happy to provide that, and in return, she shone. Del lived her first three years of life in a kennel run, knowing the joys of being a bird dog, but missing out on the velcro vizsla spoiled tendencies this breed deserves. She became part of our crew and never looked back. Resilient. That's the best word to describe Del. For not having the opportunity to live life to the fullest her first few years, Del took full advantage her first year here. She quickly learned that couch life is pretty awesome, but sleeping in bed is even MORE awesome. She is a character, and keeps me laughing, daily. She gets along with everyone that passes through our busy household. From itty bitty puppy to adult males and females, to adolescent incessant youngsters -- Del is a fast favorite.
Del had a successful Puppy/Derby career in the field trial world before coming to land in Washington. She is a bird dog in and out, and a fun dog to hunt over. We plan on breaking Del out to earn her Senior Hunter at the very least, but she has the drive, natural retrieve, and love of working to hopefully pursue higher titles.
There is never a dull moment when this sweet goofball of a girl is around. She is as springy as she is silly, and constantly keeps me on my toes.
Welcome home, Del! We are looking forward to a lifetime of adventure with this silly girl.
