I had been searching for my first female puppy to bring home for several years unsuccessfully when I switched gears and just let the right one find me. Here she is. Meet Denali. I always swore I'd only own boys, but after spending time with some incredible girls and having Vixen come home... that changed. And in came little miss Denali. I am terribly biased, but I'm pretty sure she is well worth the wait! She started trying her damnedest to outsmart me the day she came home.  As a puppy - she's spunky, she's vocal, she's bossy, she's as beautiful as she is bird crazy, and she is snuggly as can be.

Denali took on the world full speed and has made quite an impression wherever she has gone! She jumped into the show ring and went on a winning streak earning all of her single points as well as her first major in three weekends of showing. That major was a big one -- a FIVE point major at the Central Wisconsin Vizsla Club Supported Entry. Good Pipsqueak! She hit the field and continued her winning ways, making me pull the tracker in her first ever puppy stake before settling in on her next and winning Open Puppy to make her Dual Pointed. She ran in a Double Double Hunt Test one weekend in Nebraska and easily walked away with her Junior Hunter. Next up, dock diving. Denali can fly! Demonstrating her true versatility, Denali picked up her Derby points, two American Field all breed horseback shooting dog Derby placements, and 1st Runner Up at the Midwest Vizsla Futurity this Spring (2019). One week after leaving her field trial season, she won a Specialty FIVE POINT MAJOR to finish her show Championship! Fast forward one year to our move to the PNW and Denali continued to turn heads in the shown ring. She picked up all majors on her way to her GCH at Supported Entries, on Specialty weekends, and with some respectable BOS placements. She also garnered two AOMs at Regional Specialty shows.

Denali's field trial career as a broke dog has a rocky start. She missed several seasons in the attempt to have her first litter, and then got caught up in the chaos of my life. Her first real full field trial season as a Gun Dog/Shooting Dog was not until she was 5 years old and after she had raised her first litter. Thankfully, we met Patrick Clark/All Points Bird Dogs. Pat and Denali built a relationship in the field and got to work. Without Pat, I'm not sure Denali would have gotten to her Field Championship -- but they did, and in spectacular fashion. Denali earned all of her FC points in horseback stakes, All Age stakes, and hour championships. She made the Second Series at the VCA NFT and did a spectacular job until a bobble in callbacks kept her from a ribbon. She was Best of Breed at the AKC National Gun Dog Championship (All Breed). She was a Top 10 dog her first year with Pat, and a Top 5 the second. After finishing her FC at the same trial that she earned her first gun dog placement with Pat two years prior, she decided it was time to have fun with me, too. Our first season running together, Denali earned seven placements in both amateur limited and amateur all age stakes. The girl is a powerhouse, with her dad's bird finding ability and knack for getting into trouble. I'm excited to see what we can do.

Per usual, I have very big plans for this girl, and it should be a very fun ride!
